Bishop State Community College proudly celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated Carver Instructional Site, marking a significant investment in Career Technical Education (CTE). The $10.6 million project has transformed the campus into a hub for high-wage, high-demand programs like welding, culinary arts, barbering and hairstyling, and adult education. With cutting-edge facilities and expanded training opportunities, this site is ready to serve both students and the community.

Our Culinary Arts program has done it again, winning the People’s Choice Award at the Mobile King Cake-Off! Their irresistible King Cake Cream Puff with Cherry Cheesecake Filling captured the hearts (and taste buds) of attendees.

In a dynamic collaboration with the Art Club, the team transformed their booth into a festive showcase, complete with a vibrant Mardi Gras-themed photo station that quickly became a hit with visitors.

Bishop State students recently attended the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Workforce Development Summit in Birmingham!

While at the summit, two of our students, Kayla Andrews and Trenice Paige, were awarded the prestigious $15,000 Cal & Annette Johnson HBCC Scholarships! Their dedication and hard work were recognized on a major platform, and we couldn’t be prouder. Congratulations to these inspiring Wildcats!

Congratulations to President Olivier Charles for being inducted into the University of West Alabama's Society of Golden Key - UWS'a highest award! President Charles was also recognized at the National Alumni Association Alumni Achievement Awards, which took place in conjunction with the Golden Key Induction ceremony. Congratulations!
