Growing New Spinouts


The Danforth Center recently awarded proof-of-concept funding to four internal scientific teams developing breakthrough technologies aimed at solving global challenges. These funds will help get these ideas out of the lab and into the marketplace—and hopefully bring about new local startup companies. Learn more about these potentially game-changing projects.

Setting Standards in Microscopy

 

A team led by Kirk Czymmek, PhD, has authored a guide to elevate the quality, transparency, and reproducibility of fluorescence microscopy in plant research. Recently published in Plant Cell, the guide aims to provide support and set a standard regarding this fundamental work—and, ultimately, make discovery easier.
