Proclaiming the Gospel; Equipping the Saints; Mobilizing the Church

"For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it. For what does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? Mark 8:35-36

October 2023

Dear WMO family,

Shalom and blessings in Jesus our Lord. We thank God for His faithfulness, and we praise the name of Jesus for what He has done in Spain. The Lord moved in powerful ways during our recent outreach there and our team sowed many seeds and many people responded to the Good News of Jesus, the Son of God. Follow-up is taking place through the local church and the discipleship resources we now offer via the WMO website.

We were so blessed to have such unity among the team members. It was wonderful to see each team member being used by the Lord through evangelism. WMO exists to proclaim the Gospel, equip the saints, and mobilize the Church. This was so clear and visible on this mission trip to Spain. Below are some highlights.

Spain Outreaches: September - October

During Week 1 in Spain, we had a team of 22 people from around the world. WMO mentored these team members on evangelism under the umbrella of equipping. We also proclaimed the Gospel with the team as thousands of pilgrims walked by our station; we harvested as many as the Lord brought to us.

Below are some photos of salvations and interactions with pilgrims that took place through our team at our station in Spain. From top left to bottom: A group from Mexico, six of whom got saved; a couple from Colombia who accepted Jesus; Darlene and one of our team members leading a woman to the Lord; Melissa praying to the Lord God with one of the pilgrims; some of our team who helped prepare meals for the staff and pilgrims; two team members playing worship music for the pilgrims.

Touching Israel From Within Spain

Spain is the home of the Sephardic Jews and a place where many European Jews and Israelis visit. God was faithful to send us Jewish people daily to hear the Good News of Messiah Yeshua.

As Israel goes through a war right now, please pray for all the Jewish people God sent to us with whom to share His Good News, the Gospel of Yeshua/Jesus. As the Israel war continues, pray the Spirit of God will draw them to believe in Yeshua, their Jewish Messiah, their Savior, and that they would share this Good News with others in Israel. Many were touched by our team members with His love. We used a Bible tract/postcard called, The Scapegoat, to share and the timing was perfect because it was coming up on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). This Bible tract clearly lays out from the Hebrew Bible the Gospel message, how man’s sin separates him from a perfect and holy God and that God requires a blood sacrifice for the atonement of sin. The sinner avoids penalty when an innocent substitute dies in their place.

Above: Nanette, a WMO Board Member (left) and Joanne, a prayer warrior from Hawaii, interceding for the salvation of this Jewish Israeli man; Darlene next to a Jewish man whose Australian girlfriend (next to Henry) accepted Jesus; Darlene sharing the Gospel with Noa, an Israeli woman looking for the meaning of life; Henry with an Israeli couple he shared with.

Below: The WMO team with our local church partners after an open outreach in Santiago de Compostela; Henry preaching the Gospel in an open plaza next to the Santiago de Compostela cathedral; last but not least, the greatest miracle of the trip - a blind Italian man lead by his sister/caregiver stopped to hear Henry preach and he said, “I want to know Jesus.” Henry stopped and prayed with him to make a decision for Jesus. To God be the glory!

This blind man (bottom right photo) said, “I want to know Jesus.” He made a decision to trust Jesus and now he can see spiritually. Amen!

What a privilege to serve Jesus. Thank you for your partnership in all of this. God is moving through the unity of WMO with power and you are part of WMO; it would not be possible without the partnership of friends like you. It matters, and we thank God for you in Jesus our Lord. Please continue to pray for Israel and the salvation of both Jews and Muslims. True peace is only found in the Prince of Peace, Jesus. May the Gospel go forth in power and may we all be bold witnesses, all for HIS glory and honor.

Henry & Darlene
