One Chance!!! 9/8/21
Mark 10:46-49 (KJV)
46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
WHEN, not if, was the last time YOU “cried the more a great deal????”
Perhaps you may recall sitting in your school desk and waving your hand as high as you could and as vigorously as you could in a DESPERATE attempt to the teacher's attention to “CHOOSE ME!!!???”
What if you had ONE CHANCE to be healed??? ONE CHANCE to get that home you desperately seek, ONE CHANCE to get that coveted job, ONCE CHANCE...........
What is YOU heard the the Lord of the universe, the God of all, was passing by?????

Would YOU sit idly by??? Would YOU heed the callous calls of your friends and family as they loudly demanded YOU be quiet????

Have YOU ever wanted something so much you could almost taste it???????
Blind Bartimaeus did!! He was blind and well knew it was now or never-this was his ONCE CHANCE to be healed, to be able to see, to work, to live without other's pity.
NOTHING else mattered!!! He was not concerned with his reputation or his dignity-Jesus was passing by!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He HAD to get the Lord's attention, much as Zacchaeus did and the men who tore the roof off to get Jesus' attention!!!
Luke 19:1-4 (KJV)
1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
WHEN is the last time, YOU were willing to TEAR THE ROOF OFF TO GET TO JESUS???????????????????????????????????
It matters nothing to you that others were not successful in getting to the Lord!
YOU needed this Old Testament PROMISE to “WORK” for you:
Psalm 91:7 (KJV)
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
YOU did not want to hear of other's failures-YOU did and do not want it to happen to you or YOU do want something good to happen TO you!!!!
NO MATTER WHAT!! YOU ARE DESPERATE!!!!!

AND a personal testimony:
When little Amanda was lying in an almost vegetable state in the ICU room of Kennestone Hospital, the time came when she must be transferred somewhere.....???
The only available options were to a long term nursing facility and there were none in-state.
BUT...............There was a tiny chance Shepherd Spinal Center would take.
BUT we had NO money and NO insurance!!!
I made a DESPERATE CALL and was turned down!! Not once, but three times.
I “CRIED THE MORE” and KEPT CALLING until finally a representative was dispatch to Kennestone Hospital and she was admitted!!!
The reason???
After her admittance, the representative met with me and explained how and why Amanda received millions of dollars of excellent care.
She sadly explained that too often they admitted patients such as Amanda and the family basically abandoned them to the hospital's good will-Shepherd Hospital needed to access our long term commitment and availability to assist in Amanda's treatment.
MY insistence made the difference..........................................
Are YOU willing to “cry the more” and obtain Jesus' assistance??????
Are YOU willing to take that ONE CHANCE?????
