One Church
by Father Ted
We have reached the point on Tuesday nights in The Way when we spend most of our time reflecting on the various promises of the Baptismal Covenant. The Way is our class for adults who are considering being baptized into the church, looking to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church, or seeking to deepen their faith by reaffirming their baptismal promises. Each week, we spend time in prayer and Bible study while making our way through the basics of church doctrine, Anglican identity, spiritual practices, and the Christian life. The last unit of the course focuses on the five final questions of the baptismal covenant, the ones that end with, “I will with God’s help.”

The 2023 Stewardship campaign is at 84% of its goal, with almost 400 households pledging $1.7M. It is never too late to make a pledge, but the Stewardship Committee encourages all members to do so prior to the January 24 Vestry meeting. Even responses that indicate a decrease in the amount you intend to pledge enable the Vestry to finalize the 2023 budget.
Please reach out to the Parish Administrator, Cathleen Dolt or 972-233-1898 x230) with any questions or if you need assistance with your pledge.

Nurturing Faith Through Fiction
Join us in the Parlor at 7:00pm on January 26 to take part in a fun way to explore your faith experience. High quality fiction, whether in the form of a book or a film, has power to shape our understanding of and attitudes toward life. Each month we gather to discuss a novel - or to watch and discuss a movie - in light of its meaning for our own lives, our life together and our faithfulness to Christ.
