KRISTINA'S WEEKLY EMAIL OF THOUGHT-PROVOKING ESSAYS & VIDEOS TO KEEP YOU CONNECTED TO YOURSELF ON THIS JOURNEY CALLED LIFE
A NOTE FROM KRISTINA:
Greetings!

When clients come to me, it's because they're feeling stuck in their career and life and are hoping for some sort of magic pill, silver bullet or definitive roadmap to a future where they would be more fulfilled.

Yet often to their initial dismay, but ultimate acknowledgment and acceptance, they come to understand as a result of our conversation that the only sustainable way to do that is to reflect on their past, remember, resurrect and/or release it, and become more fully present in an internal way. This leads to new perspectives and adjustments in how they treat themselves, how they live and work, and what is truly valuable to them - and the external changes manifest from there, as I like to say, "in time and on time". (Those of you who have worked with me, can I get an AMEN?!)

You can have an idea of the direction that you want to go, but if you have just embarked on or are in the midst of a deeper transformation you don't really know how you are going to be or feel or want on the other side, so you just have to see how things organically evolve. By addressing the current moment to the best of your ability, a future that is most aligned with who you are is created. This is a process that requires, faith, patience and persistence over TIME. Oh how our human minds existing in our instant-everything-left- brain-oriented-culture hate that!

And with things happening at warp speed in a Twilight Zone that is shifting and changing at levels and in ways we have never before experienced, the outer world is going through it's own massive transformation; we must learn to go with the flow and surf these giant waves, trusting that the right opportunity for us will show up, or we will create it, exactly when we are ready for it. So my best advice for you right now to inhabit in this unknown territory is to fully "Be where your feet are."

Today's PGG touches on these themes, and the PGG Video of the Week is about how to get through this transformation. This week's Instagram post is about releasing and letting sh*t go and this post reminds you to take time to process. Also, I've recently joined Clubhouse, so if any of you are on it, be sure to follow me there @clearlykristina and maybe we can start a room to talk about some of these things - let me know what you think!

Lastly, if you look forward to and benefit from these weekly missives and PGG essays and want to show your gratitude, any donations for my efforts are welcome and appreciated here: Paypal.me/kristinaleonardi. And as always, please feel free to contact me with any comments about anything.

Big hug <3
Kristina

A good friend would often quote a Yiddish saying to me: Mensch tracht, Gott lacht. Man plans, God laughs.

The renowned Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh offers another perspective: “People sacrifice the present for the future. But life is possible only in the present.”

In this era of instant everything and a world of answers literally at our fingertips, one of the hardest things for us to do is live in that space where we don’t know what will happen next. With the unemployment rate at record highs, more and more people are learning the hard way how to experience life in this manner.

People in career transition, artists and freelancers have to operate without knowing where their next paycheck will be coming from. People in new relationships are at often at sea in unchartered emotional waters. Whenever we put ourselves in unfamiliar social territory or a take a trip to a place we’ve never been, we journey into the unknown — which is why it’s so important to travel; it’s one of the most natural ways to be in the present.

An easy way to add anxiety and stress in your life is to allow yourself to be overwhelmed by all the things you think you need to accomplish in the near or not-so-near future. The reality is that you can’t possibly know what tomorrow will bring, so you may as well trust that the right decision or action today will lead you where you need to go, even if you don’t know where you’re ultimately going.

So when your life is a big question mark or an empty slate, or if you find yourself in terra incognita, I can help you fill in the blanks and navigate your way through, or simply show you how to be okay with where you right now. Give me a buzz and I will be the lighthouse in the fog, the compass in your pocket, to help guide you to your most authentic destination, in time and on time!
