Welcome to the 2017 third quarter issue of
One ELLE of a Newsletter - the
ELLE Foundation's ePublication that is your source for inform
ation on the Foundation,
ELLE's Kids and events.
Once again we would like to thank all of you who participated in One ELLE of an Evening. As we mentioned during the evening, the ELLE Foundation is at a crossroads and needs your help to expand our reach. Going forward into the new year we ask you to look to new avenues to help us attain our goal of never having to turn away a child for lack of funds.
Keep your eyes open for grants and other funding opportunities that can be directed to ELLE Foundation. You can nominate the ELLE Foundation to receive a grant or donation from your employer, school's student/teacher community service organization, sports team, local club, bank, credit union or organization!
Here are some thought-starting ideas:
- Direct your employer's matching or workplace charitable/ United Way donation to ELLE Foundation, Bridgewater, NJ
- Donate your Car - CarEasy.org
- Host a special clothing day (dress-down jeans day pajama day, etc.) at your organization or school to benefit ELLE Foundation
- In Lieu of Favors/Gifts or Memorial donation
- Host an at-home product party with a portion of the sales donated to the ELLE Foundation
- Host an activity with the ELLE Foundation as beneficiary - car wash, sport team event

Abby - One ELLE of a Disney World Vacation
Meet Abby, a 7 year old from Edison, NJ, who is
battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a secondary cancer that was a side effect from one of her chemo protocols. Abby's wish is for a trip to Disney World with her Mother and Grandpa.

Ella Joy - One ELLE of a Dinner and a Show
Meet Ella Joy, an 8 year old from Chicago, IL, who is battling T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Ella Joy's wish is to go out for a family dinner and
attend the Chicago production of the play "Hamilton" with her family.

Jose - One ELLE of a Great Wolf Lodge Adventure
Meet Jose, an 8 year old from Dorchester, MA, who is battling B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Jose's wish is to go to on a Great Wolf Lodge vacation adventure with his family.

Thank you for taking me to the Cape for vacation. My mom let me have so many friends sleep over and we played at the beach. One day I saw a horseshoe crab - it was crazy! I was so happy I got to have fun with my family and friends. Thank you! Love, Madison"

of a Kalahari Resorts Family Time Vacation
Micah sent us this note:
"Thank you! I liked going down the water slides. One of the water slides was red and I went down it fast on an inner tube. In the indoor water park, I liked the 2 giant water canons that shot out a lot of water! I also liked the indoor ropes course. The ropes course was three stories tall. I tried some of the really, really, really, really hard ones! There was a Ferris Wheel in the indoor theme park. The trip was really exciting and fun because I was able to do it with my family! I liked that my whole family was there to be able to enjoy the fun with me!"
