One Good Thing
Improving the Work Experience at UCSF

Issue 159
To make our True North "Our People" efforts more visible at UCSF, this communication provides a highlight of one enhancement, story or tip intended to improve the work experience for clinicians and faculty at UCSF Health.
Need An Official UCSF Zoom Background?

Have you ever had that moment where you're about to present in a formal professional meeting and realize you only have beach vacation or West Elm backgrounds in your Zoom account?

To help you present yourself more formally and professionally in our virtual world, UCSF has developed master brand backgrounds for UCSF, UCSF Health, and UCSF BCH. Download them to your device from this link, and then upload them under the backgrounds setting in your Zoom account.

If there's a need to refresh these backgrounds or augment further, Sarah McQuilkin, Brand Manager, helped create these and can advance additional needs.

That being said, I fully support using work-appropriate, non-UCSF backgrounds that inspire you or reflect your interests/personal life for meetings at work generally. Sharing more of yourself at work is humanizing and connecting in powerful ways, and Zoom backgrounds are one small way to do that.

Pass The Mic Invitation

I'd like to invite more diverse perspectives to share in the "One Good Thing" (OGT) platform. If you'd be interested in sharing or writing for OGT about your experience at work through your own lens, or sharing resources that you think would be helpful to our people, I would very much welcome that. Please let me know.

Thanks to Todd Lee who helped connect me to this Zoom backgrounds resource and to Sarah McQuilkin who helped create these backgrounds. Thanks also to Jackie Leung who asked the question that inspired this One Good Thing.
