This is an unprecedented time in our country. From the California wildfires to the derecho that devastated Iowa to the tropical storm/hurricane season already upon us, these natural disasters have affected hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens and continue to threaten many others. The Mission and Outreach Ministry Council (MOMC) of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches is making an appeal for funds to replenish “One Great Hour of Sharing” financial resources. Rather than focusing on just one of these natural disasters, the appeal is for general funding with MOMC making the decision on where to allocate the donations among these three disasters and what may happen in the next several weeks.
