To err is human, to forgive, divine. Here's yesterday's Monday Matters, only with the correct link for our Mayor's State of the City Address video for 2022. Special thanks to Bob Hutchinson (AKA "Hutch"), president of Wheaton Bank & Trust, for his eagle eye... thanks for your message, Bob.

September 19, 2022

This Thursday marks the autumnal equinox, the beginning of fall. Some of us will be out on the greens that day at Cantigny Youth Links, enjoying the “Par-TEE on the Par THREEBusiness After Hours. We still have a few openings for golfers if you’d like to join us... you couldn’t find a better way to welcome autumn.
Last week we had a wonderful luncheon for the State of the City Address, featuring the Honorable Mayor Phil Suess. So many people helped make this a stellar event, including the Mayor and his team. Susan Bishel, public information officer, and Rich Sagen, municipal producer for the City of Wheaton, get a round of applause for the State of the City video—if you couldn’t attend the luncheon, you can watch it here.

Special thanks to Eric Schlickman of 302 Wheaton who donated the big screen for our event, and to Wheaton Chamber board members Mike Dyer of Edward Jones and Roland Raffel for contributing their brawn to help with set-up and tear-down. A shout-out to Jill Ludvigsen and Danada House, our beautiful venue, as well.
Break out the pumpkin lattes,
P.S. Don't miss Allegro's "before and after" photos at the end of this e-newsletter!

Here's Allegro as a puppy, coming into the Wheaton Chamber office for his #MugShot photo in 2021. He couldn't decide between the Chamber mug and his Canine Companions mug, so he lapped out of both.
And here's Allegro as a "teenager," learning the ropes to become a service dog under the gentle hand of Suzanne Treudt of Canine Companions. Allegro was a true gentleman (and a big hit) at our September luncheon.
