A BREEDERS' CUP TO REMEMBER
In what has been a trying year around the world, Breeders’ Cup weekend signified the highs of the highs for our clients, with four Breeders' Cup winners coming in during the two day event.
MONOMOY GIRL wins her second Breeders' Cup Distaff on her way to a second Eclipse Award.
FUTURE HALL OF FAMER MONOMOY GIRL CAPTURES SECOND BC DISTAFF
MONOMOY GIRL put a cherry on top of her amazing comeback season, taking the G1 Breeders’ Cup Distaff for the second time for owners Monomoy Stables, Michael Dubb, The Elkstone Group and Bethlehem Stables. With everything stacked against her, between the year and a half layoff as well as her outside post position in this race, Monomoy Girl lost ground every step of the way, but still came home 1 3/4 lengths clear of the field. Monomoy Girl shipped to Fasig-Tipton the next morning before selling for $9.5 million through Elite Sales to Spendthrift Farm, a world record for a Racing/Broodmare Prospect.
AUTHENTIC CAPS CAREER WITH CLASSIC SUCCESS
Kentucky Derby winner AUTHENTIC took the field gate to wire in the Breeders’ Cup Classic, likely cementing his favoritism to earn the Eclipse Award as Horse of the Year as well as Champion Three Year Old Colt for owners Spendthrift Farm, My Racehorse, Madaket Stables and Starlight Racing. The win marked the final race of Authentic’s career as he retires to Spendthrift Farm after an outstanding season which saw him earn nearly $6.2 million.
AUNT PEARL STAYS UNDEFEATED FOR EURO VENTURE IN JUVENILE FILLIES TURF
Left to right: Michael Kisber, Sol Kumin, Stuart Grant, Michael Dubb, Mike Caruso and Peter Deutsch lead AUNT PEARL into the winner's circle.
We started our party on Friday with AUNT PEARL (IRE) taking the field gate to wire in a dominant performance in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, likely making her a finalist for Champion Two Year Old Filly for owners Madaket Stables, Michael Dubb, Michael Kisber, Peter Deutsch, The Elkstone Group and Bethlehem Stables.

Coming into the race a perfect two for two for, the talented daughter of Lope de Vega shook loose going into the first turn before opening up several lengths down the backstretch, creating what turned out to be an insurmountable lead. Purchased as a yearling for 280,000 guineas on our initial foray to the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, she now heads to Florida for a 60 day break before returning for her three-year-old campaign which could see her target the G1 Coronation S. at Royal Ascot. A special thanks to these owners for supporting our new venture in it's first year.
WHITMORE PROVES AGE IS JUST A NUMBER BREEDERS' CUP SPRINT
WHITMORE, a BSW/Crow private purchase as a newly turned four-year-old, has been a reliable stable star for the last four seasons. He had run 2nd and 3rd in prior editions of the G1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint and finally notched his much deserved Breeders’ Cup win here, blitzing the field in the stretch to win by a widening 3 1/4 lengths. This was an amazing trainer job by Ron Moquett to have him ready for a peak effort in this event for owners Robert La Penta, Southern Springs Stables and Head of Plains Partners. This win marked his 15th victory in 38 starts with earnings of $4,247,850.
FIVE MILLIONAIRES, ONE ELiTE NIGHT
In addition to sales topper MONOMOY GIRL, Elite Sales set a record for a consignor in one night, anywhere in the world, grossing $22,050,000 in sales, while selling five million dollar mares on a night to remember at Fasig-Tipton's Night of the Stars.
UNI, a Mandore Agency/BSW/Crow private purchase in 2017, won four Grade 1 races for owners Head of Plains Partners, Robert LaPenta, Michael Dubb and Bethlehem Stables. Last year's Breeders' Cup Mile winner and Champion Female Turf Horse, Uni went for $4,100,000 to Peter Brant’s White Birch Farm.
MIDNIGHT BISOU, a BSW/Crow private purchase in 2018, went on to take four additional Grade 1's with earnings of more than $7.4 million for owners Bloom Racing, Madaket Stables and Allen Racing. Midnight Bisou, who earned the Eclipse Award as 2019's Champion Older Female, hammered for $5,000,000 to Chuck Allen.
COMPETITIONOFIDEAS, winner of the G1 American Oaks, went for $1,300,000 to Shadai Farm. Trained by Chad Brown, the Klaravich Stables color bearer was only off the board once in her 12 race career.
MIRTH, who recorded the fastest winning time in the G1 Rodeo Drive in over 30 years for owner Little Red Feather sold in-foal to Constitution for $1,050,000 to Katsumi Yoshida.
ELiTE'S OFFERINGS POPULAR AT KEENELAND NOVEMBER AGAIN
ELiTE's momentum continued at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale where they sold 47 of 50 offerings for a gross of nearly $7.8 million.

Elite's Book 1 draft was led by COMICAL who sold for $925,000, EMPRESSOF THE NILE who brought $875,000 and SECRET MESSAGE who hammered for $625,000.
COMICAL, a 2019 BSW/Crow private purchase, captured the G3 Schuylerville in Saratoga before placing in two Grade 1's. WinStar Farm and Lindy Farms joined the ownership group in November of 2019 and we thank them in addition to Madaket Stables for consigning her with Elite.
EMPRESSOF THE NILE was a BSW/Crow $300,000 Keeneland November purchase in 2018. Expertly trained by Graham Motion, she went on to win a stake while finishing a close 2nd in the G2 Glens Falls in Saratoga for owners Mangararo Bloodstock, Rob Masiello and Madaket Stables.
SECRET MESSAGE, a BSW/Crow private purchase out of Turfway Park in 2018, captured three graded stakes races and a Grade 1 placing for owners Scott Heider, Madaket Stables, ERJ Racing, Elayne Stables, Bouchey, Rebhan and Carroll.

In Book 5's racehorse day session, Elite led all consignors by average with two or more sold, with 17 horses selling for $1,389,000 at an average price of $81,706. Five of the nine six-figure transactions were consigned during the Tuesday's Book 5 session were consigned by Elite. (Read More).
