Today, civic participation occurs at many levels. We make impactful decisions about our community every time we make a purchase, vote, post on social media and, of course, volunteer. We think any awareness we can bring to the many resources that might spur individual action for good, falls right in line with what we’re up to at HandsOn.

Cheers to our 30th Anniversary

We are one week away! On Thursday, October 26th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm join us for a night to celebrate the HandsOn community.

To celebrate three decades of putting volunteers to work where they are needed most, we are having a party!

Don't miss out on the fun! With food trucks, drinks, silent auction, and yard games it will be a night to remember for all. The event is located at the HandsOn office at 1125 E Southern Ave. in Mesa.

Proceeds from ticket sales and our silent auction will help fund our volunteer projects all over the Valley. We hope you will be a part of the HandsOn community as we move toward the next 30 years!

HGP takes Nashville

Once again, HandsOn Greater Phoenix partnered with the Home Depot Foundation to lift up veteran communities across the country. In late September, the HandsOn team travelled to Nashville, TN to manage a 700-person volunteer project.

These volunteers helped to improve Community Solution's Glastonbury Woods, a 144-unit apartment complex that dedicates half of the units into permanent housing for veterans experiencing homelessness and the other half of the units will remain workforce affordable to rent.

Glastonbury Woods received a new walking path across the complex, new landscaping throughout, outdoor gathering spaces with gazebos and furniture, a veteran memorial, freshly painted hallways, safety lighting, fruit trees and vegetable gardens, new shutters, and more.

Evening High School Tutors Needed!

Mesa Youth Creative Agency employs Mesa Public Schools' high school students to work with industry professionals in digital design, graphic design, videography, animation, web design, photography, painting, and marketing.

Volunteer tutors are needed to help students maintain their grades and assist with post-secondary planning.

Where: Mesa Youth Creative Agency (Center St & 1st St Mesa, 85201)

When: Monday - Thursday, 6:00pm-7:00pm
