We're grateful for the times you have joined us at key meetings of the City Council and the Rent Board and for the many letters and emails you've sent to Council members, Rent Board meetings and local newspapers.


Over the past year, we've kept you informed about many vital issues, including:


  • Our proposal to make more homes available to victims of the Eaton Fire and our successful pushback on the Board's wild overreach on a moratorium.
  • The Rent Board's increasingly desperate attempts to block discussion of their failed $425k no-bid contract.
  • Advocating with the City Council to shut down the Board's threat to low-income housing by extending rent control to Section 8 properties.

ON THE RENT BOARD


Write Your Council Member


We have spoken to some great candidates standing for the two At-Large positions. Let the City Council know that we need balance and expertise on the Rent Board, which can only be provided by real housing providers. There are already seven positions reserved for tenants, so we need to make sure we have fair representation as well.


Please write to the City Council to tell them to take a balanced and fair approach by appointing genuine housing providers to the At-Large positions on the Rent Board.

We're speaking at the Convention Center


Register now for free tickets to the Income Property Management Expo at the Pasadena Convention Center on May 20th.


We'll be at Booth #306 and we look forwarding to meeting you there. You'll have an opportunity to meet your fellow housing providers and see vendors who can help with your rental properties.


You can also hear from industry experts who will be speaking throughout the day. We're proud to announce that our very own Adam Bray-Ali and Simon Gibbons will be closing out the speakers list at 2:15 PM on the main stage as they discuss the impact of Measure H on Pasadena.
