Hello!
Mass media is even more pervasive now that TV, radio, and newspapers are surpassed by the internet, emails and texts that arrive in our pockets day and night. It is easy to lose sight of the fact that the most important and impactfull communication still happens person-to-person, one person at a time.
Eye contact and physical presence establishes a bond far more effectively than a face on any screen can achieve. Even a voice on the phone communicates much more than any text could possibly do.
So, let's be mindfull to create opportunities to interact personally with one person at a time, and to do so with positive purpose. And when we are fortunate to interact with others personally as part of our profession, let's rededicate ourselves to making every interaction meaningfull.
