Washington Street Vision
Plan Open House
Wednesday, October 24, 2018
6:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Join us at Newton North High School on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 for our Plan Open House. At this event we will present a draft vision plan and draft zoning. Most importantly - we will be asking more questions and getting your feedback to refine future drafts over the winter and into 2019.
How are we writing the first draft of the plan?
Read the memo from Principle Group that describes how public comment and planning analysis completed to date have led to the development of key considerations for Washington Street. These considerations have helped develop different options for the future , scenarios that demonstrate how different community priorities could be achieved and the tradeoffs involved. These tradeoffs that are being studied need to be considered by the community.

In preparation for the next phase of planning work the team will create site specific studies and illustrations to accompany this range of options. The team will also prepare a recommended option for the first draft of the vision plan and zoning for public input.

Survey results from all 1,345 surveys are appended to this document as well as the Big Ideas drawn from community input.

Newtonville Village Day Fun
What a great party! Newtonville Village Day was a blast on September 23, 2018. Thank you to the Newtonville Area Council for putting together this annual event.

Here's a photo of Mayor Fuller cutting the custom Newtonville cake along with Councilor Emily Norton, members of the Newton Masonic Lodge, and Newton business The Icing on the Cake.
