NEWS FROM PROJECT READ

2025 Project READ BBQ & Awards Ceremony: Celebrating Literacy, Community & Connection

Last weekend, we gathered in celebration of our incredible learners, tutors and Project READ families at our annual BBQ & Awards Ceremony. Nearly 350 friends, families, and supporters came together for an afternoon filled with delicious food, storytelling, hands-on crafts and joyful outdoor games. With the talented DJ Jose keeping spirits high, it was a true celebration of community and literacy in action.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of our Spirit of Project READ Awards, an honor given to individuals who embody the heart and mission of our program—and inspire those around them through their dedication and perseverance.
