Henderson Bridge, East Providence
Overnight job-wide striping is planned Sunday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and weekday sign installation, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with alternating lane closures on Massasoit Avenue, Waterfront Drive, and Henderson Parkway, including the roundabout. Motorists should also anticipate one lane in each direction over the Henderson Bridge to apply bridge barrier protective sealer, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the continued closure for vehicle and pedestrian traffic of East River Street/River Drive, from Waterman Street to Angell Street for demolition of the old bridge in the Seekonk River and grading, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please follow signed detours.

I-95 15 Bridges, Providence/Cranston/Warwick
Next week, survey work is the focus of our operations at this project. Expect the closure of the two left lanes on I-95 North, from Exit 33 to Route 1, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., short-term single lane closures on Route 10 and alternating lane closures on Route 1, Eddy Street, Broad Street, Jefferson Avenue and Park Avenue, in the areas approaching and intersecting I-95, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Off-road short-term survey work will also be taking place at various locations along I-95 and Route 10, Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

I-95 North Viaduct, Providence
Effective this morning, we closed the old and opened the new Atwells Avenue on-ramp to I-95 North. Next week, various ramps will be closed then reopened as needed for steel repairs and barrier painting on I-95 at the Exit 37 interchange, Sunday-Thursday nights from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Please follow signed detours. Overhead sign foundation installation will require alternating lane closures on I-95 North, from Exit 37A to Exit 39A, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Lapham and Pascoag River Bridges, Burrillville
Now that work at the Lapham Bridge has wrapped up, crews are concentrating on the deck of the Pascoag River Bridge. Weather permitting, we will pour its new concrete deck by the end of next week. We’re also paving Route 102, before, after, and in between the bridges. Our goal is to remove the existing detour and reopen Route 102 to traffic in early November.

Little Compton/Tiverton Pavement Improvements
Over the past few weeks at this project, we’ve paved, striped and installed new granite curbing on Route 77 (Main Road) and paved Riverside Drive. Over the next few weeks, we’re scheduled to mill then pave Highland and Bridgeport roads, requiring the closure of both roads from each end of Route 77 (Main Road), Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Daytime curb and driveway work also requires alternating one-way traffic on Main Road, from Bridgeport Road to Central Avenue, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mendon Road Bridge, Cumberland
Left lane closures with frequent vehicle access in and out of the work zone are scheduled for overnight bridge demolition next week. Crews will be working Sunday-Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. along both directions of I-295, from Diamond Hill Road to the Blackstone River Bridge.

Route 6/10 Interchange Reconstruction, Providence
Next week at this project, our crews are slated to install bridge joints along Route 6 West for the flyover bridge to Hartford Avenue, underground conduit along Route 6 East, from Dean Street to I-95, and storm drainage at the Union Avenue off-ramp from Route 10 South. These operations involve alternating lane closures, Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Route 37 Improvements, Cranston/Warwick
Bridge Group 51B: I-295 area
Overnight alternating lane closures are scheduled Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. next week. Crews will focus on bridge demolition and roadway construction on I-295 North from Exit 3A (Route 37) to Exit 6 (Plainfield Pike), and on bridge demolition on I-295 South in the vicinity of Route 37 (Exits 3A and 3B.)
This weekend, for one night only, starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, we will close one lane on Route 146 North and detour traffic on Sayles Hill Road where it meets Route 146. Next week, bridge construction will require alternating lane closures or a full road closure detoured to the Service Roads on Route 146 North and South, from Exit 8A to Exit 8C, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Left turns will also be prohibited from both directions of Route 146 to Sayles Hill Road, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Right lane closures on I-295 North, from Exit 18A to Exit 18B, Monday-Saturday (Oct. 11), from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and along I-295 South within the same project limits, Monday-Saturday (Oct. 11), from 9 a.m. to noon are also anticipated for bridge construction.
Exit 18A off I-295 North will be closed for road construction, and Exit 8A off Route 146 South for bridge construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The Route 146 North Service Road and Exit 18B off I-295 North, and the Route 146 South Service Road and Exit 18A off I-295 South, will also be closed for bridge construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Please follow signed detours for all closures.

Route 99 Bridges, Cumberland/Lincoln
Tonight, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., we’re scheduled to switch traffic to the right on both directions of Route 99 from Sayles Hill Road to Mendon Road on the Blackstone River Bridge. We will start by closing Route 99 North and shifting traffic. Once that is done, we will reopen Route 99 North, then close and shift Route 99 South traffic. During the operation, motorists should follow the signed detour.
Next week, ongoing overnight bridge joint work at the Second Avenue Bridge requires the continued closure of Route 99 North from Exit 1 to Mendon Road. This will take place Monday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through early November. Please follow signed detour.

Tower Hill Road Bridge and Paving, North/South Kingstown
Overnight electrical work is scheduled at this project next week, with alternating lane closures and driveways/walkways blocked on Route 1 (Tower Hill Road), from the Oliver Stedman Government Center to Mooresfield Road/Bridgetown Road, Monday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Daytime electrical, bridge work and roadway improvements are also scheduled. Crews will be working behind barrier with frequent vehicle access in/out of the work zone at the Routes 138/1 interchange, Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m.-3 p.m., and on Route 1, between Bridge View Court and Karison Street and Bridgetown Road with various lane closures and frequent vehicle access in/out of the work zone for sidewalk improvements, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Washington Secondary Bike Path, Coventry/West Warwick/Warwick/Cranston
We’re nearing the finish line at this project. We anticipate paving our last segment of the path, from East Avenue to Providence Street in Warwick, Sunday and Monday nights of next week. Once that is done, we will stripe and install signage, currently targeted for the second week of October. Next week, we’ll also install our remaining segments of new wooden fencing, from Hay Street to Factory Street in West Warwick, and also work to complete the intersection and crossing improvements, from Hay Street to Brookside Avenue in West Warwick. These include new curbing, sidewalks, handicapped ramps and detectable warning treatments.

West River Street Bridge, Providence
We continue to build the substructure (abutments and walls) for the new West River Street Bridge over the West River, between Corliss Street and Branch Avenue in Providence. We are approaching completion of the rebar and formwork for these new bridge components, and are scheduled to continue their construction by placing concrete. In addition to the concrete, we are expecting steel delivery and installation within the upcoming weeks. West River Street remains open to pedestrians, but closed to vehicular traffic with a signed detour and temporary traffic signal in place to help guide motorists through the area.
