This month is Ramadan, when Muslims fast for over 12 hours a day. During this month, we raise awareness about hunger in the United States - and the funds to combat it.

Beat Hunger Day

March 21, 2025 is Humanity First Beat Hunger Day in Manassas, Virginia.

The Mayor's proclamation recognizes the day and urges citizens to "take time on this day to honor Beat Hunger Day, the people it will serve, and the volunteers who care for them."

130 volunteers served 53,200 meals in Manassas last year. Congratulations on this recognition!

HF Guyana recently brought food baskets and cleaning supplies to a small orphanage on Linden Highway.

30 volunteers of HF Indonesia are responding to a flood in Bekasi.

They have cooked and distributed food parcels to 3,000 people in several affected towns.

Students are Serving in Guatemala

A Gift of Health mission organized by Virginia Commonwealth University has screened and treated patients over 3 days of clinic.

Students were joined by Dr. Rawahuddin Naseem and Dr. Naseer Naseem from the U.S. as well as Guatemalan physicians and staff. The clinic offered general consultations, pediatric visits, and fluoride treatments.

In two locations, including at the HF Masroor Ahmad School, the student & doctor team saw 1,680 adults and children!
