One-stop Business Resource Created for Wichita PPE
The Chamber has partnered with a group of organizations through the COVID-19 Community Task Force to create a resource for area businesses and organizations which want to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) related to COVID-19.
The page is hosted on the Wichita Resource Center and is a work of multiple organizations including the Chamber, Wichita Independent Business Association (WIBA), Visit Wichita, Non-Profit Chamber of Commerce, Wichita Community Foundation, City of Wichita, Sedgwick County and others.

The City of Wichita hosted a Facebook Live today with Mayor of Wichita Brandon Whipple, Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Gary Plummer and Envision CEO Michael Monteferrante where they discussed the new initiative.

Reopening Readiness
Some of our members have reopened or are in the process of expanding their services. Others are still working on their reopening plans. All are concerned about taking the necessary precautions to stay open once they have reopened.
The Chamber's Wichita Resource Center now has a section devoted to Re-igniting the Economy. One of the areas we continually update is a section devoted to examples of business plans for returning to work. Our latest blog highlights a variety of these resources.

Good Deeds in Hard Times
Food donations to the Kansas Food Bank have decreased significantly since the beginning of March due to COVID-19. With the news that food pantries across the state were running low in the face of overwhelming demand, the Rudd Foundation wanted to assist the Kansas Food Bank in its mission to provide “compassionate hunger care” for those in need during these unprecedented times. Their donation will allow the Kansas Food Bank to provide 50,000 meals for Kansas children and families in need. Read their news release here .
