Do I have to be a member to apply?

Applications are open to ALL businesses in the London Boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow and ALL our Chamber members, wherever you are based.

Is there an entry fee for submitting an application?

No, it is absolutely FREE to apply!

Who is eligible to apply?

Any business with a presence in West London - whether large, small, start-up, or established - can apply. We have awards to commemorate all sectors. Please do read the bio at the top of each application form to see if the award applies to your business.

For the Unsung Hero award, can I nominate myself or do I need someone else to nominate me?

You need someone else to nominate you. This Award is to honour and nominate individuals in your company or organisation whose relentless dedication, selflessness, and hard work often go unnoticed, yet make a profound impact on their communities and industries, serving as inspiring examples of silent champions.

Can I apply for more than one award category?

Yes. We encourage past winners to apply and share their continued success and achievements.

Is there a word or file size limit for supporting materials?

No, there is no limit, however don’t overfill or overword – less is more.

What are the benefits of winning?

Top Tips for Writing an Application

Winning a business award can bring prestige, boost your credibility, and open up new opportunities for your company. However, crafting a compelling awards application can be challenging - it’s not just about what you’ve achieved, but also how you tell your story. Here are some top tips to help you put together an outstanding business awards application:

Choose the Right Awards

Please consider entering multiple categories, the majority of the application forms for each category is the same. The only difference is the last few questions.

Understand the Questions

Take the time to thoroughly read the application form and give yourself time to complete the form. Judges can easily see an application that has been quickly completed without much thought. Please make sure you answer all the questions, it is surprising how many people don’t!

Tell Your Story Effectively

Submit a compelling narrative that showcases your achievements, innovation, and impact. Please make sure to stick to the word count for each section, do not go over or under! Bullet points are always easier to digest.

Provide Supporting Evidence

Back up your application with evidence such as testimonials, case studies, figures, and results. Short videos will also be accepted via Lisa Rides lisarides@westlondonchambers.org.uk. Provide concrete examples of how your actions or initiatives have made a difference. Use specific examples, data, and testimonials to demonstrate your success.

Seek Feedback

When submitting the application, make sure the best writer in your team completes the form. One writer is better than a committee but include your team in the research. Pay attention to details such as formatting, grammar, and presentation to ensure a polished final entry.
