Dear MRCA families,

Congratulations! You made it through last week! I know I speak for our entire faculty and staff when I say that we miss all of you and look forward to the day when we can all come back to campus. Until then, will do our best to communicate with you regularly and keep you informed. We also want to hear from you. How is everything going at home? Are you finding this adjustment easy or difficult? How can we pray for you? We will be reaching out to each of you, but please also contact us if we can assist you in any way.

Our teachers are working hard to convert to a virtual/distance learning approach. They are sharing schedules and assignments through email and/or Google Classroom. You can also schedule appointments with them for a telephone conference as needed. We realize every family situation is different right now, so it is our aim to continue your child’s education, ensuring our methods can be customized to each family’s routine. Please do not hesitate to email teachers and share your expectations with them – they want to hear from you!

Because MRCA is such a relational atmosphere, we realize we need to find ways to connect with one another during this time of social distancing. We are exploring safe and meaningful possibilities for teachers and students to connect through live video conferencing (i.e. Zoom, Skype, etc.) with parents present. Because all of our students are minor children, we have to ensure we can do this in a responsible way. We will keep you posted on this approach.

With all the news swirling around us, it’s easy to become overwhelmed and lose focus on what is truly important. These times are uncertain, but the Lord is with us, so let’s rest in that truth. Isaiah 41:10 says, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

On this Thursday, March 26 th at 10:00 a.m ., we are asking that every MRCA family take a few moments to pray. Let’s specifically pray for people to turn to the Lord during this time, for all government, business, and church leaders, for the medical workforce, for the sick, the elderly, and for all of us to trust Him, allowing His peace to guard our hearts and minds. This time of prayer together (though not physically) will center our gaze on Christ and create unity for our families and MRCA community. Will you join us?

As the next few weeks unfold, MRCA will be in contact with you to share updated timelines and plans for the continued instruction of your child. Thank you for your partnership – we pray we will reunite soon!

In His service,
