With just one week until Election Day, only a short time remains in which to make a statement about whether you are happy with a Democrat-controlled Senate and a Democratic President who is creating gridlock, uncertainty, and secrecy in Washington. 

We need members in Congress who will fight to protect our constitutional principles and hold the executive branch accountable. Electing representatives who are not afraid to rise above the hyper-partisanship and war of words will provide more certainty for businesses and families. Virginians need elected representatives who will not tell us to accept what government demands from us, but rather listen to how they can make government better work for us. 

We already have that person in Rob Wittman, and I am proud to support his reelection to the 1st District of Virginia in the House of Representatives. I am equally pleased to support Senate candidate Ed Gillespie. Electing Ed to U.S. Senate will ease the gridlock and help remove Harry Reid as majority leader.
