Have you driven down Redmond's streets lately? Not only is the fall foliage along our streets beautiful, but one of Redmond's streets has just been designated a Great Street of America by the American Planning Association! Redmond also made Money Magazine's 2019 "Best Places to Live in America," ranking 12th!

OneRedmond's mission is to connect commerce to community, supporting Redmond as one of the best places to live, work, play and run a business. September was a busy month of fun and informative events, including the World's Largest Game of Simon , our Mayoral and City Council Candidate Forum , and our Mariner's Game event with Kirkland and Bellevue.

Earlier this week, OneRedmond Executive Director Kristina Hudson spoke on a panel at the Geekwire Summit in downtown Seattle titled "Game On: The Future of Social Games." Learn more about the panel discussion and the Geekwire Summit below.

And finally, this Friday Senator Manka Dhingra will host a roundtable discussion on reducing barriers to success for small businesses . Open to all small business owners and entrepreneurs in the 45th legislative district , it is an opportunity to discuss how the State can help ease the burden and collaborate to encourage success. World's Largest Game of Simon
Held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 13th and 14th
On September 13th, OneRedmond made the official attempt at the Guinness Record for the "World's Largest Memory Game."

Over 200 individuals on 35 teams representing companies, organizations, family and friends came out to test their skill at successfully replicating the series of light and sound on the large-scale game's colored pads.

OneRedmond partnered with the Northwest Art Center in Duvall to create the 20-foot version of the iconic game, which weighted over 2,500 pounds. Matt Wilson, a local video game industry executive, along with Lloyd McCracken, John Hawkins, Emily McCracken, Aidan Wilson, Adam Grant, and Paige Carter built this unique and interactive game.
City of Redmond Mayoral Candidate Forum
Held Thursday, September 26th, 2019
Our first Mayoral and City Council Candidates Forum at the Seattle Marriott Redmond was informative and fun!

During the breakfast, Dr. Eric Murray, President of Cascadia College, moderated a lively and interesting discussion with Mayoral Candidates Angela Birney and Steve Fields.

Redmond City Council candidates were present and available to meet during the networking time.

OneRedmond Executive Director Invited to Join Geekwire Panel
Held Tuesday, October 8th, 2019
OneRedmond Executive Director Kristina Hudson was invited to join a panel discussion at the annual Geekwire Summit held in Seattle, Washington. The sponsored lunch panel was called "Game On: The Future of Social Games."

The panel discussed the issue of Washington State subjecting free-to-play games like Candy Crush and Pokémon Go to the same regulations as gambling.

Cleveland Street in downtown Redmond was designated a Great Street of America by the American Planning Association! Join the City for an on-street ceremony to celebrate this honor on Thursday, October 10th at 6 PM. Read more.
On Monday, September 16, The Today Show and Money Magazine announced the annual list of the Top 100 Best Places to Live in America for cities 50,000-300,000. Redmond ranked 12th in the nation. Read more.
