THE ONESTOPPGH COUNTER IS NOW OPEN!

PLI and Zoning Counters have merged, and all applications now start at the OneStopPGH Counter

Here's what to expect:

All PLI & Zoning physical applications now start at the OneStopPGH counter

You will no longer need to visit Zoning then visit PLI - questions and applications for both will be found at the OneStopPGH Counter.

...but we're still in the same place!

Zoning Division and PLI WILL NOT be able to provide same-day, over the counter vouchers, permits, and/or reviews, with the following exceptions:
Permits with minor scopes of work that do not require zoning review, and when license and payment requirements are met can be issued the same day. These permits may include:
Building permits
Electrical permits
Mechanical permits
Suppression system permits
Fire alarm permits
Please plan to budget two trips to our new counter to complete your permit at this time

The OneStopPGH counter is only available for applicants who are ready to apply for permit or zoning and development application(s). Applicants must have:

A completed application - available on the PLI or Zoning websites or on the 3^rd floor of 200 Ross Street
The application fee
Any necessary documents

PRE-APPLICATION MEETINGS

A Pre-application Request Form will be required for projects meeting or exceeding the below thresholds before proceeding with development review. Once you complete the form, staff will contact you regarding process and whether or not scheduling a pre-application meeting will be required.

Pre-application Request Form will be required for:

· $100,000 cost for Exterior Renovations on Commercial Building Permits

· Any new commercial structure or additions of 5,000 square feet or greater

· Any application with more than 20 parking spaces

· Any Master Plan/Rezoning Application

· Any Historic Nomination

· Any Zoning Protest Appeal

· Any Advertising Sign Application

EMAILED APPLICATIONS ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTED.

Please submit your Pre-Application Request Form at the OneStopPGH Counter, or apply online starting June 17 at OneStopPGH!

Please note there is a $50 application fee.

DEVELOPMENT REVIEW APPLICATIONS

All development review (including signs) will use one zoning application, a Zoning Development Review Application. If a project requires additional approvals, such as an Administrator Exception or Zoning Board of Adjustment review, Zoning will include that in the project review, and schedule postings, meetings, etc. with you as needed. They will not require separate applications. Pre-application Requests, Subdivision/Consolidation, Historic Nominations, and Master Plan/Zone Change applications will continue to use separate applications.

DEVELOPMENT REVIEW APPLICATION

· The Basic Zoning Review fee of $50 will still be required with every application. Additional fees may be incurred for projects with additional reviews, public hearings, postings, etc. For Subdivisions and Consolidations (Plans of Lots) and Property Certifications, the entire fee will be due with the application.

· All Zoning Site Plans must include a stamp from a licensed professional with two exceptions -- fences and residential HVAC.

Permits issued the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) and the Fire Bureau will become available this fall during the next phase of the OneStopPGH roll out.

JUNE COUNTER CLOSURES

The OneStopPGH Counter will be CLOSED THURSDAY JUNE 13, 2019.

Plan review services will be limited on Friday June 14, 2019.

Construction inspections will be limited June 10 - 12, 2019.

NEW STATIONARY VENDOR

LOCATIONS

The Street and Sidewalk Vendor Site Designation Committee has submitted the new Stationary Vendor sites to City Council for approval. Once approved, PLI will announce the new locations, as well as a date for the lottery, via our newsletter, website, and social media pages.

NEW FEE SCHEDULE

Our new fee schedule went into effect on MAY 1

Some changes for customers include:

40% of the permit base fee is now due AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.

PLI now accepts only 5 at-the-counter applications at a time.

Permit applications submitted before May 1, 2019, but issued after May 1, 2019 will be subject to the new fee schedule.

AMENDED PERMIT FILING FEE: 20% of your new base fee
There is now a cost associated with filing an amendment to your permit. Use our cost calculator below to determine your new base fee. Your Amended Permit Filing Fee will be 20% of your new base fee.
