4. New Rules and Forgiveness Applications

The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Flexibility Act, which was signed into law on June 5, 2020, made a number of changes to the PPP including extending the period businesses can utilize funds and receive forgiveness, allowing for a greater portion of the loan to be utilized on non-payroll expenses, and much more.

Join the North Country Chamber of Commerce and SCORE for a webinar with Jeffrey Boyce, Northeast New York Branch Manager for the U.S. Small Business Administration, that will cover these changes to the program, including the recently released revised forgiveness applications.

New York Forward Loan Fund (NYFLF)

Earlier this month New York State launched the New York Forward Loan Fund to support small businesses, nonprofits and small landlords reopen after the COVID-19 outbreak.

Empire State Development conducted several webinars recently to inform their strategic partners about the program including how to apply, eligibility requirements, loan terms, etc. In case you weren’t able to attend a webinar, the presentation and the program flyer here .

Is Your Business in Need of Sanitizer?

If you are in need of these products, please email Stacey at the North Country Chamber of Commerce to request a 4-gallon case of sanitizer and/or smaller spritz bottles. She will contact you with more details and pick up instructions.

Note: The sanitizer is available to any business in the community, even if you have already received it in the past.
