Coronavirus Food Assistance Program Producer Webinar: Additional Eligible Commodities Added

Join the USDA Farm Service Agency as we discuss another set of additional commodities that are now eligible for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP). Additionally, USDA is extending the deadline to apply for the program to September 11, 2020, and producers with approved applications will receive their final payment.

  • NEW FOOD PANTRY open at Saranac Lake High School (Door #17). It is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-1 by appointment. Please call 518-897-1446 to schedule your appointment or for more information.

  • Bags of food for those needing the food pantry are pre-packed based on family size and handed out at the door to avoid contact within our facilities. 

  • The City of Plattsburgh Pantry at 54 Margaret Street has an increased supply of breads, sweets and milk. Please schedule an appointment for pick up of these items.

  • The Backpack Program for Bailey, Oak, Momot and Chazy Elementary Schools continued through the end of the school year and plans to resume in the fall pending further guidance.
