IMMEDIATE ACTIONS Stabilize New York’s Economy by 2021
»Dedicate $1 million in federal Workforce Innovation and
Opportunity Act Administrative funding to adequately staff the NYS Office of Workforce Development.

» Reinvent the role of the State Workforce Board to
establish a compelling statewide vision anchored
in equity and opportunity for New Yorkers. Develop
dynamic performance goals to accurately measure
progress as New Yorkers reconnect to skills, work and
economic mobility.
» Require coordination between Empire State Development
and the NYS Department of Labor, to develop metrics
that communicate the mix of employment opportunities
regionally, including but not limited to: number of
full- and part-time jobs, job retention, wages and wage
growth over time, economic mobility and employer
investment in worker upskilling, and variation by
industries.

» Allow for 10% of contract funding to be attributed
to administrative expenses for workforce program
contracts, enabling workforce entities to adequately
staff programs to meet the needs of the business
community and New Yorkers.

Plant Agri-Mark has full-time immediate openings for 2nd and 3rd shift Maintenance Mechanics. A flexible work schedule is required, including rotating weekends, and working scheduled holidays. Mechanical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, ability to maintain equipment, and a strong safety awareness required. Willing to train those with a strong ambition to learn. Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
