BREAKING NEWS:

The Governor will be issuing an Executive Order that mandates 100% of employees work from home, excluding essential services . Additionally, effective 3/21 all barbershops, hair salons, tattoo or piercing parlors and related personal care services will be closed to members of the public. This shall also include nail technicians, cosmetologists and estheticians, and the provision of electrolysis, laser hair removal services, as these services cannot be provided while maintaining social distance.

SMALL BUSINESS ALERT

How small businesses can access funding under the Small Business Administration’s Disaster Loans Program in response to COVID-19  The Government has made it easier for small businesses to access low-interest loans to address COVID-19 financial distress. Full article here

“Essential Business” Guidance

The guidance lists sixty-six categories of business that are designated “essential.” It states that the essential business designations, and the staffing restrictions, apply on a location specific business. It also provides that if a business performs both essential and non-essential functions, only those business operations related to the essential services are exempt.
