A Few Kind Reminders!

Wear/Bring Tennis Shoes Daily
Please have your child bring or wear tennis shoes each day. We offer the gym as a space choice everyday.

Weather Appropriate Attire
The children go outside nearly everyday and early morning/late afternoons can be chilly! Please send along appropriate outerwear. As winter and snow approach we will require all the gear - snow pants, boots, hats, mittens / gloves, etc. We encourage you to LABEL your child(ren)s gear - we will have a black sharpie at the sign in / out area :)

Toys From Home
On Thursdays, students are able to bring a non violent toy / game from home. No cell phones or electronics please. Toys / games are allowed during designated times only.

* Please r emind your child(ren) that they are responsible for their own toys, and no trading please!

October Was Super!
Our Lights on Afterschool Event was very nice. We danced away with the DJ from Kidsdance and had a nice little supper consisting of pizza, carrots and oreos. Thank you to all that were able to pause and attend! The kids have especially enjoyed exploring in the makerspace with paint, cardboard, Nuudles and clay. They always find so many creative things to do with materials that we would never think of! We also celebrated National Custodians Day by making fun posters to show our Custodians how much we appreciate all they do for us - They really appreciated the kiddos kindness, and the candy was good too!

Camps & Clubs this month include:

Coming Up for November!
We have many fun and exciting projects planned for November. Two cooking projects: Mango Lassi and Raita; 4 STEM projects including timed challenges and building towers; a Specialty Day making Salt Dough Diwali Rangolis to welcome all to the Festival of Lights. Every week we feature a Social/Emotional Lesson (SEL). They vary in content and activity level, but all help us to be better in control of our bodies, our emotions, our reactions, and our behaviors. This month we will be making our own stress balls and considering of all of the layers of people and work we can be grateful about when we say we are grateful for our food.
