ONGUMA TRADE UPDATE

VACCINATIONS

We are proud advocates of vaccinations, with most of our staff already having their first vaccinations and the second on the way. Our Namibian winter has set in at Onguma and the days are warm with cooler nights. Traditionally this is our high season and we are enjoying hosting guests from various parts of the world who are taking advantage of the ease of travelling here, along with the good Covid safety protocols and the spaciousness of our beautiful country Namibia.

NEW DREAM CRUISER EXPERIENCE

Our new Dream Cruiser is a romantic adventure sleep-out experience now available on Onguma. With a great 2021 introductory special rate, it is proving popular with both our trade partners and guests' alike. Here's what one of our guests had to say...

"What an EPIC experience! There is not much else to say...it should be included in all your stays.

We met with Garry that afternoon who described what we could expect and took our drinks order. It was amazing - starting with the pick-up and a short drive to arrive and see our abode for the night. It did not seem real. We enjoyed our sundowners watching the colors dance as the sun set over the waterhole, the evening sounds begin to play and dusk settle in with the first star appearing. Our picnic-style dinner arrived a short while later, with Chef Marius who took us through our menu for the evening. We loved being able to 'pick at the food' whilst taking in the remaining dusk and the stars appearing. Angelo our guide arrived a couple of hours later at our request with hot water bottles for the bed and wished us a final good night.

As if it could not get any better, after enjoying coffee in bed and heading back to the lodge for breakfast we saw a lion hunt! Just WOW!"

ETOSHA GAME DRIVE PRICE INCREASE

We have had to implement an increase for our Etosha Game Drive activity with immediate effect due to a price increase by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism in park fees for Etosha National Park.
