International Tourism Film Festival Africa Celebrates Storytelling, Conservation, and Cultural Heritage in Groundbreaking 6th Edition Johannesburg, South Africa – June 18, 2024. The 6th annual International Tourism Film Festival Africa (ITFFA), held from June 11-15, 2024, has concluded with a resounding celebration of compelling storytelling, wildlife conservation, and the rich cultural heritage of Africa and beyond. The festival, brought to us by the Sustainable Tourism Partnership Programme NPC and executed by Legito Publishing, showcased an impressive 436 entries from 61 countries, marking an 18% increase from the previous year.

This year's festival featured a remarkable 300% increase in series entries, with 11 series competing across various categories. The films were judged on seven key criteria: impact, creativity, sound, style, subject matter, storytelling, and goal effectiveness, with scores out of 10 awarded by an esteemed panel of 46 jury members, equally representing the film and digital creation industries and the tourism sector.

After three rigorous rounds of judging, 272 films advanced to the final round, with 23 finalists, 61 Silver Awards, 41 Gold Awards, and 3 prestigious Pinnacle Awards being bestowed upon the most outstanding submissions.
