Christ the King Lutheran Church
Online Faith Formation Resources—and Celebrating Easter via Zoom
April 10, 2020

Dear CtK Friends,

Good Friday greetings to you all! I know this Holy Week has been dramatically different for most of us, and this Easter will be an unusual one as well. You may find yourself wondering what you can do to celebrate this most holy of seasons with your church family, even though we cannot be physically together.

I’m writing today to tell you about a few new opportunities to connect—with your faith and with one another—both this week and in the weeks ahead.
Child and Youth Faith Formation Is Now Online!

Sunday School and SNL may be temporarily suspended—but never fear! A variety of child, family, and youth faith formation resources are now available online at .
Click on Children’s Resources for age-appropriate videos, discussion questions, and hands-on activities centered on each week’s Gospel reading. There are also lessons for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Materials will be updated at least once per week during the period of social distancing, so stop by regularly!
For families with middle- or high-school students, click on Youth Resources for a rundown of recent Youth Zoom topics, as well as one-stop access to recent “Taking Faith Home” resources.
Even though these resources were developed with kids and families in mind, everyone is welcome to check them out! And if you happen to try one of the hands-on activities, please take a picture and send it to so we can include it in our online gallery (coming soon)!
Reminder: Please Join Us for a Special Easter Zoom!

As Pastor Caroline mentioned in her e-mail earlier this week, the entire congregation is invited to gather live via Zoom at 9:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday. Because this is the usual Kids’ Zoom time, our Easter celebration will be brief (about 30 minutes), informal, and family-friendly. We’ll sing a few Easter hymns, hear a young people’s message, have a time of prayer, and shout “Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!” Click here to connect with us on Easter morning.

(As always, pre-recorded Easter worship will also be available for watching at your convenience at this link .)
Although these resources will never fully replace the normal rhythms of our life together, we hope you find them useful and enriching during this unusual time.
Happy Holy Week—and see you at the Easter Zoom!
