Microsoft Education LTI is Here!
The Microsoft Education LTI has officially replaced both the old Microsoft Teams Classes and Microsoft OneDrive integrations in Canvas.
This new tool brings all your favorite Microsoft apps together in one place, including:
- Teams Meetings
- Teams
- Class Notebook
- OneDrive

Where to find it:
The Microsoft Education LTI now appears in the Course Navigation Menu of every Canvas course at Jacksonville State University.
Important Note for Fall 2025 Courses:

If you already created a Team and a Class Notebook using the old Microsoft Teams integration for Fall 2025, you may keep using them for the rest of the term. Do not delete your Team because your Class Notebook will also be deleted. Note: In this scenario, do not click "Add Microsoft Teams" in the Course settings of Microsoft Education and do not enable Class Notebook, as this will create a second Team and second Class Notebook for your course, unsynchronized from the first, and be confusing for students on which one to use. However, you may still use Teams Meetings in the new Microsoft Education LTI.

If you only created a Team with the old integration, delete that Team and use the new Microsoft Education LTI to set up Teams Meetings and Microsoft Teams for your class sessions
