Community Opportunities
Urgent! JRA Needs Volunteers - April 20-26
Now more than ever, we need your help. The impact of Covid-19 has led to record-breaking unemployment, economic disruption, and food insecurity for more than 1 million Pennsylvanians. As an essential organization, we remain open during the shelter-in-place and stay-at-home orders to provide services to the 6000+ individuals who rely on JRA for assistance. For the safety of our recipients and volunteers, we are coordinating a no-contact, drive-thru food distribution for all deliveries regardless of circumstance.
Starting Monday, April 20, we will begin delivering boxes of food to individuals and families in need. Interested volunteers should use our online form to reserve a day to pick up from the JRA warehouse and then choose a delivery route(s) (or indicate a preferred delivery area) from a list of available routes.
