Kristi has an Early Childhood Education background with over ten years of experience working for the military and the private sector as a preschool teacher. In 2018, she shifted to the Department of Education and is currently a Kindergarten Inclusion teacher at Kipapa Elementary School. Kristi is a 2020-2022 Hawaii State Teacher Fellow.

HASCD has partnered with nationally recognized educator Thomas C Murry to offer his online professional development course, Personal & Authentic.

The course will provide you with inspiration, while simultaneously challenging your thinking and propelling your growth, whether you work in an in-person, blended, or remote learning environment. It will also discuss the importance of social emotional learning for your students.
