Worship Services
Did you miss a worship service? You can catch up online . Our online worship will continue at least through June 10. Bishop Goff has suggested that our return to public worship, when that will be allowed by Governor Northam, will probably happen as a phased-in process, rather than as a full return, with particulars depending upon church size. We will convey more information as it becomes available. If you need to contact any member of the church staff or clergy, you can call or email .
Discernment Committee Updates
The Parish Profile has been completed and it will be approved soon according to the Discernment Committee. To learn more about what’s happening check out the update on our website
Prayers for Health Care Workers
Would you like to be included on our public or private prayer list? On Sundays, our worship includes Prayers of the People for those on our public prayer list. The private prayer list is confidential and sent weekly to a small group for those desiring daily prayer. We are including health care workers on our prayer lists, so please contact Shelby Scattergood or the clergy ( Bill and Kim ) to include a health care professional or anyone needing to be added to the prayer lists.
Graduating from High School or College?
We'd like to recognize all of our graduating seniors during the worship service on June 7th. If you're a graduate let us know !

From Children, Youth, and Family Ministries: Youth Compline, and Opportunities in Worship
This week we have begun offering two services of Youth Compline at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Compline is the final office of daily prayer from our prayer book and is used to end the day with meditation on Scripture and reflection on the concerns of ourselves and others. These services are spaces for youth to share their thoughts and concerns with one another as we pray together. Youth are also invited to read Scripture and prayers during these services as well as share anything they have made themselves that they would like to contribute (e.g. prayers, poetry, art). Access information for Youth Compline can be found here . Additionally, children and youth alike are encouraged to send in a video or note asking a question to be answered in worship the following Sunday and to be readers as well. There are many ways to be involved in worship and prayer from home and  Aaron Davis  would love to hear from anyone interested in them.
Participating in Online Worship
You can light candles, carry a cross, submit flower photos, or maybe even become a reader. Interested? We’ll need photo, audio, or video files to include your digital offering in an upcoming worship service. Please contact Shelby Scattergood to learn more.
Red Door Roadside Continues
During recent restrictions and recommendations on social distancing, our Red Door Ministry has evolved. Thanks to a minimal number of volunteers (to keep our gatherings small) each Friday we serve meals to go at stations outside the church. Volunteers can help prepare sandwiches from 10am-noon OR hand out bagged lunches from noon-2pm on Fridays. On Saturdays, our sexton Roland Boone has been handing out any left over lunches to neighbors who need breakfast. Interested in helping either Friday or Saturday? Contact Mother Kim who can keep you in the loop about how you can help before, during or after our Friday feeding ministry.
Reach Out to Peyton
If you’d like to reach out to Peyton Pawson as he prepares to join the Marine Corps, please contact him via his cell phone at 804-774-6808. Words of encouragement are greatly appreciated as he prepares to go to basic training on May 18. Please keep Peyton and his family in your prayers.
Soap and Hand Sanitizer Donations for Red Door
Cleaning out your closets? Small hotel soaps and hand sanitizer are needed to help our Red Door guests slow the spread of COVID-19. Although our clothing closet is currently closed, we can distribute these items with our pick up lunches on Fridays. Please let Mother Kim know how she can arrange a “porch pick up” of these items.
