Online Giving

Welcome to our Online Worship.   The theme of our worship today is "Pursuing Peace."   The message today is the first in a series of messages of the Psalms of Ascents.  These psalms were sung by Hebrew pilgrims as they were going up to Jerusalem to worship at the temple.  Today's scripture is Psalm 120, which begins with a powerful statement of faith---"I was in distress and I called upon the Lord and He answered me."   May God be blessed as we worship Him today in spirit and in truth.

Call to Worship

Opening Prayer

O God, you are our Hope and our Deliverer.  You do not grow faint.  You do not grow weary.  You are everlasting to everlasting.  So we come before you and wait upon you with hearts full of faith and gratitude asking that you receive our worship.  We desire to lift your name up in praise and adoration for you are worthy of our worship.  We offer it out of love and devotion to you.  May your name be lifted up and yours be the glory in heaven and on earth.  Amen.

Serenity Prayer

Taste and See

Now, rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice.  The Lord is at hand.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus.   Amen and Amen.

Our Core Practices

Christ has no body on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours.  Yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion for the world is to look out; yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good; and yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now.
