Welcome

Welcome to our Online Worship.   The title of my message for today is "Like a Weaned Child."  The scripture is Psalm 131.   David is the author of this psalm.  It is a brief psalm with a challenging message.  David warns against pride and over ambition.   Instead, David encourages an humble spirit and contentment, like that of a child who has been weaned from his mother.  Finally, he calls on us to hope in the Lord.  May God be blessed as we worship him today in spirit and in truth.

Call to Worship

Opening Prayer

O Holy God, as I worship you today, I invite you to be the center of my life.  Clear the chaos and the clutter that prevents me from truly seeing you for who you are.  Help me to make room for you, so that I can see the things that truly matter in this life.  In these next few moments, give me your peace and help me to simply be in your presence.  Amen.

Benediction

May your day be blessed by moments of quietness, light in your darkness, strength in your weakness, grace in your meekness,
joy in your gladness, peace in your stillness. May your day be blessed, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Amen and Amen.

Our Core Practices

Fish

Christ has no body on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours.  Yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion for the world is to look out; yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good; and yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now.
