Online Giving

Welcome to our Online Worship.   The theme for today's worship is "Thirsting For God."  God is looking for people who are  yearning for a relationship of love with Him.  The opening  verse of Psalm 42 says, "As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after Thee."  It is a powerful image of God's desire for us to long for an intimate relationship with Him.  Do you thirst for God?  May God be blessed by our worship today.

Call to Worship

Opening Prayer

O God, as we worship you today, give us a divine thirst for your presence.  May we yearn to be with you, just as deer yearns for her thirst to be quenched in the waterbrook.   Draw us closer to you, so we can know you more intimately and love you more.  May your name be lifted up and may you be blessed by our worship of you.  May you and you alone be our heart's desire.  Amen.

Blessed Be Your Name

Thirsting For God
Psalm 63:1-8

Better Than Life

Giving of Tithes and Offerings

Another morning and I wake with thirst
for the goodness I do not have. I walk
out to the pond and all the way God has
given us such beautiful lessons. Oh Lord,
I was never a quick scholar but sulked
and hunched over my books past the hour
and the bell; grant me, in your mercy,
a little more time. Love for the earth
and love for you are having such a long
conversation in my heart. Who knows what
will finally happen or where I will be sent,
yet already I have given a great many things
away, expecting to be told to pack nothing,
except the prayers which, with this thirst,
I am slowly learning.

Invitation Medley

Now, according to the riches of his glory, may he grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith---that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with the fullness of God.  Amen and Amen.

Our Core Practices

Christ has no body on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours.  Yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion for the world is to look out; yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good; and yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now.
