Online Giving

Welcome to our Online Worship.   The theme of our worship today is "The Lord Is My Keeper."  The scripture for today is Psalm 121.  The psalmist opens by asking an important question:  "I will lift up my eyes to the mountains, from where does my help come?"  Where do you go  and who do you go to when you are in distress or trouble and in need of help?  The psalmist is clear.  "Our help comes from the Lord."  He is our "keeper."  God is always watching over us.  He is with us today, even as we worship Him.  May God be blessed as we lift up in praise and adoration and devotion.

Call to Worship

Opening Prayer

O God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, as we worship today, may we be reminded that you are always with us.  You are our Keeper.  You are our Protector, our Guardian.  You are constantly watching over our comings and our goings.   Even now, as we worship you, in the comfort of our homes, you are present.  Thank you for your abiding presence in our lives.  May our worship draw us closer to you.  May our worship bring you the honor and glory you deserve.  You are worthy, O Lord.  Amen.

Morning Prayer

Almighty and Loving God, you created the ocean depths; you made the mountains to rise; you spangled the sky with stars and planets.  We praise your majestic power revealed in all your creation.  When the earth trembles and our hearts shake with fear, we look for steady ground to stand on.  That is when we yearn for your gentle presence and  power to come to us, in ways that speak comfort and peace to our very human hearts.  In the midst of all that changes in the world, we look for a love that endures.  So God, pour out your holy presence and power on us in ways that reveal you quiet strength, your hopeful presence, and your faithful love.  In the name of Jesus, we pray.  Amen.

Our Core Practices

Christ has no body on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours.  Yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion for the world is to look out; yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good; and yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now.
