Welcome to our Online Worship. January 6 is Epiphany, the traditional day on the Christian calendar when we celebrate the arrival of the magi to visit Jesus. We don't know much about the magi, but we do know that they came seeking the Christ Child, so they could worship Him. There is much to learn from these "wise men" about worship. They came bearing fabulous, but most of all they came to give themselves to Christ. They came by faith and they were changed by their experience. May we be transformed as we come face to face with God today.

Opening Prayer
O God, who quickened the faith that brought the Magi from the east, let your light shine upon us today and kindle hope and inspire us to love. Let your light shine within us, that it might refine our divided hearts and lead us to faith in you. Let your light shine around us, that it might illumine the path of obedience. And let it shine above us to reveal the Christ so that we might worship Him in spirit and in truth. Amen.

The light of God's purposes has shown upon us. Carry that light into another week. The star of God's promises that led us to worship now leads us to serve in God's world. The glory of God shines on you today. May others see his radiance and rejoice with you. Seek God's peace that you may share it and God's wisdom that that you may live by it. Go out as God's true light and may God's grace, peace and power go with you. Amen.
