Paul is preaching the same sermon tomorrow morning, that he recorded this week. The teaching will be the same online and in person.
New Sermon Series - Finding Our Way/The Path of Discipleship. For the fall we are looking at discipleship…how we Follow Jesus, Become Like Jesus and Behave Like Jesus.
Our passage this week is from the beginning of Jesus’s teaching ministry. After going through his early adulthood inconspicuously, Jesus is making his debut in religious circles, but not in the way people assumed. After John the Baptist’s arrest, Jesus picks up his ministry with similar verbiage and intention. He is continuing the ministry of the kingdom of heaven that John had begun.

Plus... Ms. Susie is continuing the new Sunday School series on creativity called, "Indescribable!" This 15 minute service has great music, a special lesson from Ms. Susie, and a craft you can do.
This week the kids are talking about Esther, and God created you for a purpose. Download the lesson here to go along with the video (coming out Sunday morning)

There are three options for watching the services:
We post the video on our website at 6:30am on Sunday morning. Watch it on your timetable, and chapters let you find segments easily. Go to LJPres.org/live
The video will also be posted directly on the Vimeo channel at 6:30am. If you've had trouble viewing the service, this is the most reliable. Go to Vimeo.com/LaJollaPres
We are also Premiering both Worship services on Facebook at 8:40. This option has the most social interaction. Go here if you want to say 'hi'. Facebook.com/LaJollaPres

Drive Thru Blessing #4 - Canned Food Drive
Saturday, Sept. 26th, 10am - Noon
The last several months have been tough on everyone, but particularly hard on some of our Mission Partners and the communities they serve. Due to your generous contributions to the church, we have been able to come alongside several partners with financial assistance, but also want to PARTNER with YOU, and connect YOU to needs in our community.
There are a lot of hungry people in San Diego and you can help feed them.
COVID has made it far worse for some. We’ve reached out to four trusted mission partners, and asked, “What do you need?”
Here’s a list of staples that New Day (formally PUM), UrbanLife, YoungLife, and Ebenezer Church need to hand out in their communities:
Grocery Gift Cards
Bag of rice
Bag of beans
Peanut Butter
Canned Tuna
Pasta
Pasta Sauce
Cereal
Oatmeal
Water Bottles .5 ltr
Granola Bars
Canned Soup
Bag of Avocados
or Bananas
Loaf of bread
Tortillas
Please bring them to the church on Saturday, September 26th. Thank you!
There is also an opportunity to volunteer to help collect the food. If you would like to come help unload food, see friends, and have some fellowship time, click here.

If you want someone to talk to, help getting groceries restocked, or a great book recommendation, shoot us an email. If you need prayer and encouragement, that’s why we’re here.
