In just 5 days we will ring in a New Year. Soon, you'll be receiving the 2018 Lakeside Calendar of Events brochure in the mail, and your family can begin planning your Lakeside summer vacation with opportunities to unleash your creative spirit, renew your soul, learn about the world and challenge someone on the courts.
Before you start packing your bags and planning your return visit to Lakeside, we encourage you to pause and give thanks for all the 2017 Lakeside memories... quality time with loved ones, breathtaking sunsets on Ohio's Most Beautiful Mile and finding peace.
In the final days of this year, we invite you to give a gift that will help continue these special memories for you, your family and thousands of other families for years to come.
For ease, reach out by phone at (419)-798-5396

Your Favorite Experience at Lakeside
If a particular program or place gave your family a memorable experience last summer, give a gift to help continue the program or to help with maintenance of a historic building or garden.
Steele Memorial Bandstand/Gazebo
#GivingTuesday was a huge success in raising funds for the revitalization of this special space on Ohio's Most Beautiful Mile. There's still time to contribute to this project to help create special memories at the Gazebo.
Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus Landscaping &
As the Wellness Center enters its final stages of construction, we plan to enhance and expand the landscaping around the facility. Additionally, we're preparing for a new native prairie garden across the street, on the corner of Laurel Avenue and Sixth Street. This new site will not only be a great educational tool and restorative garden, but it will promote sustainability at Lakeside.

Family Entertainment Series
In an effort to offer more convenient, family-friendly entertainment, we're dedicating several Wednesdays at Hoover Auditorium to families. On select Wednesdays, at the special time of 7:30 p.m., we'll present a performance that will delight, entertain and educate children, parents and grandparents alike.
C.S. Lewis Programs
During Week 9 of the summer, experts will share the Christian ideas of this iconic author in everyday terms. Preacher of the Week and C.S. Lewis expert, the Rev. Dr. Jerry Root, will lead a combined Faith for Living Hour and morning lecture on the subject. On Wednesday, Aug. 15, David Payne will present a reading of Lewis' works in Hoover Auditorium.
