A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR KLING
ONLY FIVE DAYS LEFT TO TAKE THE 2020 CENSUS
Hopefully you've already taken the 2020 Census - if not, you you can take it online at my2020census.gov. Data collected from the Census is extremely important to our community and helps provide funding for many programs relied upon in our community such as Medicaid, school lunch programs, educational funding, hospitals, roads....and many more programs.

Please help ensure our community receives as many resources as possible by asking your friends and family if they have taken the Census. It only takes a few minutes and is extremely important for our community.

The 2020 Census closes September 30. Please help support your community by being counted.

-Mayor Debbie Kling
THANK YOU, DAVID BILLS!
This week David Bills completed his term on the Nampa Development Corporation (NDC). We would like to thank and acknowledge his tremendous efforts. Between his time as a Nampa City Councilman and commissioner on the Nampa Development Corporation, David's service has been a valuable asset to the City of Nampa.

Over the past 18 months David and the other NDC Commissioners have worked with staff to move the refinancing of the NDC bonds forward, resulting in a savings of nearly $5 million for the life of the bonds. Grant Miller (sitting left of David Bills in the picture) will replace David as NDC Board Chair effective October 1, 2020. Wendy Rhodes and Kenton Lee will also begin their term on the NDC Commission October 1.

Thank you, David, for your time and service to our community. We wish you well in your future endeavors.

EFFECTS OF THE CORONAVIRUS ON OUR HISPANIC COMMUNITY
This week the City of Nampa partnered with the Hispanic/Latino COVID-19 Task Force to bring a Spanish-language event to the Treasure Valley. The event discussed effects of the coronavirus on the Hispanic community and featured panelists from local medical experts, and community leaders from business, education and non-profit organizations.
