Cross Currents
October 2018
A Message from the Director
All -

It certainly has been a wet fall so far! Here at the Conservancy we're batting 1 for 4 with our events over the past two weeks... here's to hoping the weather cooperates for the next few months as we certainly have an action-packed agenda!

Top on the list is the Perkiomen Plant-A-Thon. This is one of the most important events that we run at the Conservancy. We all know that storm water run-off can play havoc with our creeks, streams and properties, and the Plant-A-Thon provides a solution by increasing the health and effectiveness of our riparian forest buffers. So grab your kids, your friends, and your neighbors and join us for one of these fun-filled planting events!

Next is the Conservancy's annual benefit dinner, "A Night for Conservation: To Benefit the Perkiomen Watershed". While the Plant-A-Thon serves to maintain the health of our creeks and streams, the Benefit serves to maintain the health of our organization. Please join us for this exciting evening where we honor our local environmental stewards, raise a few funds for the Conservancy, and have a great time while doing both. The clock is ticking... there's only one week left to get your tickets and we definitely need your support at this event!

Well... the weather looks alright for the next few days... so get out and enjoy it while you can... and make sure you get your tickets for our
annual Benefit Dinner!

See you soon!

The Conservancy’s annual A Night for Conservation Benefit is just a few weeks away! The Benefit includes a locally supported Silent Auction, a lively Wine Ring Toss, a cocktail reception, raffles, and a delicious buffet dinner .
The Silent Auction held during the Benefit is one of the Conservancy’s largest fundraising efforts. Proceeds from the auction directly support our award winning environmental education opportunities and our hands-on conservation projects. The Conservancy receives tremendous support from local community members, organizations, and businesses, which makes for a robust Silent Auction featuring unique items and fun experiences! This year, Benefit attendees will have the chance to bid on great Silent Auction items, such as “A Year in Chocolate” gift certificate from Sweet Ashley’s Chocolate, tickets to Longwood Gardens, a guided paddle of the Perkiomen Creek, and a beautiful, framed orchid painting by botanical artist Carol Woodin.
With such an excellent Silent Auction...
you won’t want to miss the Benefit this year!

Have a great product or a piece of art you'd like to share? Consider showcasing it in our silent auction. You get some great PR and we get a great donation... it's a Win-Win!
