Welcome to our April Newsletter
This edition has our latest updates, including a new round table event, our COVID-19 update and customer insights. We also have the latest information on Meridian, upgrades, and more.
Onset Round Table
Well the world has certainly changed since we last sent our newsletter in February. Firstly, we hope that you are all staying safe as we get through this together.

We're all working from home, as you probably are, so we've planned an interactive ' Ask An Expert ' session to allow you to engage in conversation with us and ask all of those software questions from your team.

We will have the Onset team available via Zoom conference to respond and discuss your topics.

We're also kicking off the session with an overview of Meridian 2020 Server features.

Our interactive session is scheduled for next Tuesday, 21 April and you can register using the link below to receive all the details.
Onset Updates
With increasing numbers of staff working from home and requiring access to Meridian, we've had a real push from a number of sites to implement the Power Web and facilitate remote access to Meridian. Powerco and Evoenergy are among sites that are making Meridian available via secure web access and the mobile app.

Let us know if you'd like our assistance in enabling the Meridian web interface for your organisation!

During April we have Meridian upgrades in progress with Queensland Rail and Sorbent. Upgrades completed include Multinet Gas, KCA (Kimberly Clark Australia), and VicTrack Properties .

We're also excited to announce that our OCP (Onset Contractor Portal) is now available on cloud. Now branded as Lunr , the portal is hosted on Azure and represents the next generation of this product's evolution. Check out the new Lunr website .
COVID-19 Response
In relation to our support for the Meridian software application, our support staff are now working entirely from home and we operate in a relatively isolated manner.

We have two physical offices, in Melbourne & Brisbane, where we generally meet for project collaboration. We're no longer attending the offices and we've minimised travel and group meetings.

Our team is enabled with video and phone conferencing, including remote access via Zoom, and we don't anticipate any impact to support services.
Meridian 2020 now available
Here are some of the new features and enhancements that are now available for Meridian Server! This added functionality is available to you with an upgrade, and provides for better responsiveness, increased stability and enhanced workflows. New features include:

  • Improved multithreading for better responsiveness for large user communities
  • Isolation of 3rd party components and eliminated memory leaks for more stable operation and memory consumption
  • Sync on send portal integration so users can send to Portal and continue with next task
  • Additional send/receive options for better workflow integration
  • Improved PDFTron compare dialog in PowerWeb for improved comparison
  • New document clipboard so users can copy and paste
  • Reference control on download and ‘Create Project Copy’ option added to limit operations to relevant documents in configuration
  • PDFTron viewing for native PDFs
  • Added ability to configure commands
  • Improved reference resolution across subfolders
  • Compact PowerWeb setup for smaller downloads

The Meridian 2019 R2 & Meridian 2020 releases include support for the Autodesk 2020 product family.

The Supported Software and System Requirements documentation from Accruent is a good starting point, so let us know if you need these critical documents.

And get in touch if you'd like more information on the Meridian Mobile App.
Viewport Updates
Check out the updates on the new Viewport website. Are you working towards operational excellence by linking the intelligence of disparate O&M systems within your organisation?

Viewport provides a single point of access that connects and adds value by aggregating data from multiple data sources. Tag/document references in Meridian drawing data are connected to systems including SharePoint, SAP & Maximo to improve efficiency, safety and compliance of a plant or facility.
