A big few months with new implementations, upgrades and training for the Onset team. As SA Water and Lochard Energy go live with Meridian, upgrades are also in progress with Qenos, Outotec, NZAS and NRG. ActewAGL, Icon Water and Powerco (New Zealand) have all recently completed Meridian upgrades.
SA Water manages more than $13 billion of assets to deliver water and sewage services for around 1.6 million people across South Australia. Engineering drawings are at the core of these assets and more than 250 thousand drawings are accessed and maintained in the operation of an organisation providing world-class water services and tracing its roots back to 1856. Sixteen water reservoirs feed into the network of water mains that deliver water to properties through facilities such as treatment plants and pumping stations.
Training in progress at SA Water
Onset Design is currently working with SA Water to implement Meridian for the management and delivery of these asset drawings. Workshops located in regional centres are joining the head office team from Victoria Square as the training program is rolled out and the solution is tested over a six week period. Onset is assisting with half-day training workshops that deliver tailored content to allow hands-on interaction. Staff at Berri, on the Murray River, together with Mount Barker, South Para Reservoir, Port Lincoln, Crystal Brook, Mount Gambier and Murray Bridge have all participated in the Meridian EDMS training and contributed valuable feedback towards the final configuration.
Lochard Energy is an Australian midstream energy infrastructure business that owns and operates the Iona Gas Plant and the associated facilities located near Port Campbell in the state of Victoria. Discover more about Lochard Energy.
On the development side, our work with universities sees the Curtin Developer Portal in readiness for the receipt of drawings from external contractors. Sean and the team have also started working with the University of Melbourne to integrate their digital wayfinding solution MazeMap with As-Built campus drawings. Key to this solution is the OCP REST API which allows for simple integration of an on-premise Meridian vault with a variety of cloud based companion products.
The Meridian 2018 R2 release is now available and includes support for the Autodesk 2019 products, including AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit. The Release Notes describe several pages of improvements for Meridian Power (Power Web) and Explorer.
