At WPH we envision a thriving Hamilton community where labour market issues are proactively addressed, and all individuals and organizations can achieve their potential.
As a not-for-profit agency our primary source of funding is the Ontario Ministry of Training & Skills Development.
Our organization is looking to add to its existing Board of Directors.
We are seeking volunteer members who are knowledgeable and passionate individuals who have an interest in employment, training, education, labour market information, economic planning, human resources, and general business operations.
As a member of the Board, you will use your professional experience and networks to ensure we stay connected to the community and support us in attracting and growing our economic partnerships.
The requirements of our Board Directors are to attend the scheduled Board meetings (6 – 8 per year) and participate in the governance activity which would include:
-Community engagement
-Board governance oversight
-Strategic planning for the fiscal year
-Annual financial audit review
