We lcome CruisePlus as an Ontario Sailing Member Benefit!

The Lake Ontario Club Cruising Association (LOCCA) met at the Ashbridge's Bay Yacht Club on Sunday, February 25, 2018.  There were 21 attendees from 15 member clubs. There were two presentations and a general discussion.  Key points that came from the discussion ... the next meeting needs to be in early November 2018 ... suggestions for enhancements to the website. The former will happen and latter items are being reviewed and prioritized.

Starting this season, only LOCCA members will have their reciprocal cruising information displayed on the LOCCA website. Each member Club is responsible for maintaining their information on the LOCCA web site and are encouraged to review that.

If your club is interested in joining LOCCA or you would like more information, please send an email to info@locca.org or visit the website at  http://locca.org/

1)  I f it seems too good to be true...it's probably a scam! Some reading from one of our members about a potential fraud that could affect our clubs and their members...   https://thewalrus.ca/the-rise-and-fall-of-torontos-classiest-con-man/

2)  One of our clubs has indicated that in recent months they have received various invoices (via email) from what, on the surface, seem to be recognizable Lake Ontario yacht clubs.  Upon closer scrutiny, the return email addresses are not consistent with the particular clubs.  Please be diligent when opening attachments, clicking on links within your emails or paying invoices that are not valid.
