Workforce Development & COVID-19 – Today’s Update
This has been a trying few weeks for people living and working in the North Country and staff at the OneWorkSource Centers are working to keep you informed.
 
Although closed to the public, the OneWorkSource Centers continue to work on behalf of our customers and businesses. As such we are planning to share important workforce-related information. We encourage you to share the information included in what will be regular e-newsletter.

Online Courses and Updates
Laid-off during the COVID-19 crisis? You may qualify for online training – check out the links, below! If interested, contact the staff working in your county’s OneWorkSource Center. They can help you!

During the COVID-19 crisis, there are online classes that are available for you to take! If you are interested in possibly taking one of these classes, please reach out to:

  • Clinton Community College

  • FEH BOCES
Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES online courses are up and running.

  • North Country Community College
Classes are suspended the week of March 16-20. Following spring break, which runs the following week, they will resume on Mar. 30 using a modified delivery system as much as possible for the rest of the semester.

NEWS:
The Plattsburgh YMCA has set up a School’s Out Club for children ages 5-12 years old. Priority is being given to emergency and essential personnel including hospital employees and will be set up at Momot and Oak Street Schools in Plattsburgh. You may reach out to them directly at 518-561-4290 or  [email protected]  if you are interested!

Extended telephone filing hours as follows:
Monday through Thursday, 8am to 7:30pm.
Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Saturday, 7:30am to 8:00pm.
